What is PDLC Smart Film?
PDLC smart film, also called a smart tint, is a thin, flexible, self-adhesive switchable film that is applied directly to existing glass. When powered on, the liquid crystals align, and the glass turns clear. When power is off, the film turns frosted, providing instant privacy.
Smart film is the right choice when you already have glass installed and want a faster, more cost-effective privacy upgrade than replacing the glass completely. It works beautifully in offices, consultation rooms, bathrooms, meeting rooms, hotels, homes, and retail spaces.
Our smart film is designed for everyday performance. It is 0.38mm thick, blocks 99% of harmful UV rays, allows over 70% of light through in its frosted state, and has a haze below -3.5% for strong clarity when switched on.
Control it with a wall switch, remote, smartphone, home automation system, or voice command. It uses very little electricity, is easy to clean with a soft cloth and gentle glass cleaner, and does not require special maintenance when the correct voltage is used.
